4th of July Events In Michigan 2020
26 October, 2020

4th of July is shaping up to be a very different holiday this year. Usually full of backyard BBQs, large-scale fireworks displays, and outdoor events, many celebrations have been scaled back or cancelled. We have the most up-to-date list of fun events still happening near you this weekend.
Kalamazoo Speedway
The Kalamazoo Speedway's season opener is on July 3rd — great for families, with kids 10 and under admitted free. Watch 5 races and enjoy a fireworks show after!
Alpha Michigan Brewing Company
AMBC has an all-day celebration starting at 8 in the morning, complete with a parade, food from local trucks, games for kids, and live music. The brewery opens at 10am and stays serving beer until the start of fireworks. AMBC gives a portion of all their profits to local charities, so you can feel good about spending your day with them!
Frankenmuth Free Firework Celebration
Frankenmuth is still planning their annual blowout — though this year's show will be without the usual accompanying activities. Come early to get your spot and bring some bug spray! They are also hosting a virtual race you can participate in from anywhere. Race entry fees fund future fireworks shows to keep them free, and participants receive a commemorative t-shirt, medal, and race number.
FireRock Fireworks
FireRock Fireworks is one of the only fireworks celebrations still happening in the Grand Rapids area. With live music, outdoor dining, and a buffet spread, it's a one-stop shop for 4th of July fun. A great outdoor venue means everyone will have a good view — come early and post up for the night.
